urban snapshots in monochrome : wing

A Crow That Will Not Fly

I recently wrote a set of short poems under the title "Urban Snapshots in Monochrome". These are based on snippets of images i came across, mostly during my journeys to and from work.

Why monochrome? You can see why after you read it.

urban snapshots in monochrome : wing

a torn wing
snapped
like a black scythe
on wet asphalt
       in parking lot

somewhere a crow
will not fly
or is dead.

ditto
love poem and drawing
there is something about crows
cocky strutting bullies
which should make them invincible
this means
for me anyway
that when they come to harm
i am even sadder
(hope that makes sense)
here we have "hooded crows"
black and grey
if i can find a pic i'll post one
cheers

floots,
thank you.
yeah, crows are "cocky strutting bullies" all right. Hate them or love them, they are here to stay in the city, they are such intelligent birds.
