shadows

I have not been posting lately. First, my health is playing tricks with me. Secondly, the acquisition of a PS3 machine turned my attention to somewhere else. I guessed it is high time to get back to some writing, serious or otherwise.

I wanted to post this during the Chinese 7th Month, better known as the Hungry Ghost Month, but it had since long gone. I also submitted this as an entry to Nain Rouge magazine but it was not selected for publication. Maybe it was not spooky enough. :)

shadows

it used to lurk
behind curtains
silent, still
till a breeze
stirs the cloth
you thought
you saw it
long straight hair
slant eyes
pallor of wax
but then there's
nothing
behind
those flapping cloth

perhaps

it's just the eyes
that were too tired
so now
my windows
have no curtains

now
it glides past
the window
on the corridor
a hesitant shadow
a dark patch
on frosted glass
while i am
killing demons
in a video game
or trying to type
some poetry like this
i expect the clump
or clip-clop
of heels on concrete
that will be
my neighbour
back from clubbing
but
there is no sound
only the hissing
from the tv
through air
that had

frozen

still.

I really enjoyed reading this intriguing poem. I love the moving curtains and "while i am killing demons in a video game". Great imagery. Very nicely done :)

ha, good to see you back....ack...the PS3 will def distract you...i hope the health concerns pass as well...the passing of the ghost or the wind in the curtain...we can get so distracted we miss those things...also i tend to leave windows open this time of year...letting the crisp air cleanse the house...and me...

Sweet blog! I found it while browsing on Yahoo News. Do you have any tips on how to get listed in Yahoo News? I've been trying for a while but I never seem to get there! Cheers Web Site whoah this blog is magnificent i love reading your articles. Keep up the good work! You know, a lot of people are searching around for this info, you could help them greatly. WONDERFUL Post.thanks for share..extra wait .. … Hello there! I know this is kinda off topic nevertheless I'd figured I'd ask. Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest writing a blog post or vice-versa? My blog covers a lot of the same topics as yours and I believe we could greatly benefit from each other. If you might be interested feel free to shoot me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you! Wonderful blog by the way! Bonuses I am really loving the theme/design of your site. Do you ever run into any web browser compatibility problems? A couple of my blog visitors have complained about my site not operating correctly in Explorer but looks great in Firefox. Do you have any recommendations to help fix this problem? I wish to show some appreciation to you for bailing me out of this particular issue. Because of looking through the world-wide-web and obtaining techniques that were not beneficial, I assumed my entire life was done. Living without the presence of solutions to the problems you've sorted out all through your entire short article is a serious case, as well as the kind which may have badly damaged my career if I hadn't discovered the blog. Your personal ability and kindness in handling every part was very helpful. I'm not sure what I would've done if I hadn't encountered such a solution like this. I'm able to now look ahead to my future. Thanks for your time very much for this high quality and result oriented help. I won't hesitate to endorse your web blog to any person who desires counselling on this issue.

i have no idea on how to get listed in Yahoo News. that's a very long comment you have posted. about browser issues, i think most browsers are pretty stable now. i am using Chrome without any problems, i used Firefox in the past and encountered some problems with posting comments but i think the newer versions have fixed it. The newer versions of IE are ok too. about trading links and guest writing, i am not too keen on that, sorry. i don't know how my blog had helped you, but i am glad it did, and yeah, always look ahead to the future. :)

Aw, this was a really good post. Taking a few minutes and actual effort to produce a very good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate a lot and never manage to get nearly anything done.
